Faculty: Ursula Lord

Sixth Grade Class Teacher

Ursula Lord joined the Detroit Waldorf School teaching staff in 2015. She has served in various teaching assignments including first grade assistant, educational support teacher, handwork teacher, and substitute teacher. During this time, Ms. Lord pursed a Waldorf Teacher Certification from the Waldorf Institute of Southeastern Michigan (WISM). She also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, majoring in business and psychology, and a Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University, along with becoming a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW).

Ms. Lord loves working with children of all ages and backgrounds. She has over 10 years of experience working as a school social worker, 6 years as a college teacher and a lifetime of raising her three (now adult) children. She loves to travel, facilitate holistic workshops, work on home and garden projects, and enjoys time with family and friends.
