Michaelmas Festival, Friday, September 27th at 11am
Michaelmas is the festival of autumn and an annual tradition at Detroit Waldorf School. Students sing harvest songs and hear the story of St. Michael who bravely tamed the dragon and is a protector of all humankind. The motif of the dragon tamer is found in the art and myths of many cultures worldwide.
St. Michael inspires qualities of courage, compassion and strong will. This celebration reminds us to awaken our inner light and to shine forth in the winter months ahead. You are welcome to join us in this year's Michaelmas Festival!
